PROJECT

Extensions, Alterations and New Floor to Church

OVERVIEW

This comprehensive project involved the sympathetic extension of the church vestry to accommodate a new kitchen, toilet facilities, and a meeting room. The extension was constructed in traditional stone to harmonize with the existing church architecture, preserving its historic character.

Internally, the original timber floor was replaced with a modern precast concrete beam and block system, incorporating underfloor heating for improved comfort and efficiency. The scheme also included the installation of bespoke oak panelling, a new staircase, and a complete electrical rewire. A full reordering of the existing building was undertaken to enhance functionality while respecting the church’s heritage.
